ABOUT US
Who We Are
Our Goals
To research the potential impacts of large-scale data centers, educate residents and county officials, foster community collaboration, and preserve the Nature Coast's environmental, rural, and community character.
Overview
Although Hernando County enacted a 365-day moratorium on new data center applications effective June 23, 2026, County officials are actively updating the Comprehensive Plan — a process that could significantly influence future data center development and land-use decisions. Because the Comprehensive Plan establishes the framework for long-term growth and development, community involvement is essential to ensuring that residents' priorities and concerns are reflected in future policies.
Get Involved
This effort only works with community participation. Whether you can volunteer a few hours, spread the word, or simply stay informed, there's a place for you in this work — and a real chance to shape what happens next in Hernando County.
